PS Alumni Performance Project is an exciting and privileged platform to de
velop and present innovative theatre performance targeted at recent alumni
who want to establish careers in the professional theatre world. The CDTP
S is pleased to present this year's Alumni Performance Project: The Unboun
ded.“I can’t pull you out of the pit, but I’ll sit with you in it, until
you are ready to climb out” -Interview #1The Unbounded tells the empoweri
ng stories of seven people as they fight and live with the complex obstacl
es mental illness bestows. Real individuals kindly shared their endeavours
in dealing with anxiety, loneliness, motherhood, loss, friendship, d
epression, psychosis and much more. With a stirring blend of movement, d
ance and theatre the ensemble will take you on a journey from the quiet de
pths of a lake to Jesus Christ stocking shelves. The play is packed with h
umanity, humour and heart.Buy tickets at: https://the-unbounded-alumni-pe
rformance.eventbrite.caThe Collective:Before starting any project the ForW
hat collective always asks itself, Why theatre? In an age with informatio
n available to us in the palm of our hands it is important to reconnect on
a more personal level with our society, one where we can’t simply hit th
e power button when we don’t agree with something that’s presented to us.
We find comfort and safety behind our screens and theatre is a medium that
allows for us to disconnect from the digital and come face to face with t
he realities of our society and its people.ForWhat Collective produces vis
ually and physically dynamic performances that challenge stigmatizations,
poses questions and creates meaningful connections and conversations. The
collective explores alternatives to the traditional script-driven creatio
n model and naturalistic theatrical approaches, giving primacy to verbati
m style texts and collective creation writing through body, gesture and i
 mage.Dates and times:     •    Thursday April 21, 7:30 PM      •    Frida
