Amanda Baker

Master's Student


Amanda Baker is a recent Computing and the Creative Arts graduate of Queen’s University, and a current MA student in Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies at University of Toronto. She specialises in immersive theatre and musical theatre, and works in the areas of production, costuming, and performance. She has worked heavily with Colliding Scopes Theatre, a Kingston based theatre company specializing in devised, site-specific, immersive theatre. Her most recent credits with Colliding Scopes are as the producer for the original productions Hearts Come Cheap (2018) and HOLY (2017), in addition to two terms as the company’s Director of Operations. Amanda has also worked for the past two years with the immersive, site-specific company Single Thread Theatre. She was the production manager for their site-specific production of Annie Baker’s The Flick this past summer at The Screening Room in Kingston, as part of the 2018 Kick & Push Festival. She is currently the production manager for Single Thread Theatre's upcoming digital installation Virtual Ambrose at The Grand Theatre in Kingston, ON, produced in conjunction with Playlines, a company specializing in immersive augmented reality.
