Biography

Lyra McKee is an incoming MA student at CDTPS whose research interests include anti-disciplinary epistemologies, (trans)gender studies, critical race theory, and community-based participatory action and performing arts methodologies. She is also a multimodal performance artist with experience in acting and directing for the stage, music writing and production, musical theatre, and dance as well as an active advocate and community organizer for social justice. Lyra is a member of the Queer & Trans Negativity Working Group at the Jackman Humanities Institute, Dartmouth Alumni for Palestine, the Performance Philosophy Network, and the Board of Directors of Fight Like a Grrrl Club
