Description
Universes is a one-act romantic comedy play chronicling central characters Ace and Cady as they walk the line between divine reasoning and personal agency. Having met as camp counsellors, Ace and Cady find themselves in a compromising position when Ace receives an unexpected promotion, placing him above Cady. Forced to confront Ace’s avoidance and her own perfectionist tendencies, Cady begins to consider what would happen if she and Ace had met in another universe.

Universes will also feature “Orbit,” a new original song performed and composed by Isabella Milano and written by Hannah Evy DeVellis.
Event Description: This event is a staged reading of a new play written by CDTPS student, Hannah Evy DeVellis, and featuring talent from the University of Toronto Drama Centre and the Faculty of Music. The staged reading will be held at the Playhouse Theatre (79 St. George Street) on October 17th at 7pm and will be followed by a talkback session. There will be a brief intermission between the staged reading and the talkback session. Refreshments and desserts will be provided.
