Biography

Amir is a PhD student at the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies. Hailing from Lebanon, Amir has enjoyed performing since his inception, which led him to be a part of several theatrical productions, workshops and concerts in and around the country before he earned his BA in Mathematics from the American University of Beirut. He moved to Canada in 2009, earned his BFA in Music Theatre from Sheridan College. Since graduating, he has been working as an actor in Canada, performing in such works as Sweeney Todd, Rent and Oklahoma!, working with many theatre companies like Talk is Free Theatre, YPT and he was most recently a cast member of the Toronto production of Mirvish’s Come From Away
