Biography
Funmi Cole is a PhD Student at the Center for Drama, Theater and Performance Studies, University of Toronto. She holds a Master's degree in Drama Therapy from Kansas State University, USA, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria. Funmi is passionate about using theater and performance to foster human development. She has initiated and executed Drama Therapy projects among different populations in the United State and Nigeria. Some of the projects include Puppet shows to develop Emotional Intelligence in Preschool aged children, Manhattan, Kansas (USA); Playback Theater in Correctional Facility Ijebu Ode (Nigeria) and Drama Therapy for Psychiatric Patients at the University College Hospital, Ibadan (Nigeria). Funmi is a stage, screen and voice actor.
