You're invited to Lone Island Lovers - A Staged Reading.
Lone Island Lovers is a play written by Mick Robertson and developed by the ‘Friends from Highschool’ performance collective. Inspired by the idea of “Love Bombing”, Lone Island Lovers is a spectacle piece about a Mom trying to tell a troublesome tale of her past to her daughter.
Originally written and workshopped in the Fall of 2018, the first version of Lone Island Lovers was performed at the University of Toronto Drama Festival, where it was honored with numerous awards including Best Production.
This reading is of the second rendition of the Lone Island Lovers, which has been workshopped over the summer of 2019. In this workshop, the team asks that audience members help further the script, by giving audience feedback as to what interests them, what they do not need, what they have questions about and what they want more of. All feedback is welcomed.
‘Friends from Highschool’ would like to thank all of the workshop participants for lending their efforts and talents, and the CDTPS for facilitating this event.
This event is FREE and no RSVP is required.
Please contact event organizer Micaela Robertson if you have any questions.
