Keira Mayo

PhD Student



Keira is a PhD student at the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies in collaboration with the Women and Gender Studies Institute. Her research interests include racism and sexism in Canadian theatrical improvisation, applied theatre--especially improv-based corporate training, racial capitalism and Marxist feminisms, performance in everyday life, and philosophies of language and mind. Keira currently works as an editorial assistant for Theatre Research in Canada and serves as the President of the Graduate Student Union at the Centre. She is committed to anti-racist praxes, collaborative art-making, and going slowly.
