FOOT30: Hopeful Positions, or: Playing in Precarity

Our theme for the 30th anniversary of the Forum of Original Theatre/Theory/Thought (FOOT) is Hopeful Positions, or: Playing in Precarity. We seek to explore the diverse ways in which hope can be found in these precarious times, offering play(fulness) as a strategy by which Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies are uniquely positioned to intervene. We look forward to two full days of stimulating papers, panels, and performances, in our hybrid online/in-person conference.
