Music in the Barns, of which CDTPS Associate Professor T. Nikki Cesare Schotzko is a founding member, is happy to announce that they’ve received a significant Canada Council for the Arts grant as part of the Council’s Digital Strategies Fund to support a new project that engages how interactive digital technologies might make music pedagogy more accessible between mainstream and remote communities.

This project, which will culminate in a new interactive platform and interface, proposes reaching out to urban and rural communities both to innovate collaborative creative processes and to extend music pedagogy beyond Western and Eurocentric models.

Please join us in congratulating Professor Cesare Schotzko on her outstanding achievement!
