Sean Ryan
Sean Ryan (any pronouns) is a queer actor/creator/director/teacher who finds joy in the exploration. They started their journey near the water, on Treaty 13A territory— a territory which was and remains under the care of the Mississauga of the Credit First Nation.
They cultivated home for many years in Tiohtià:ke, the unceded territory of the Kanienʼkehá꞉ka people, where they created work that was messy, human, and flawed— centring around themes of love, faith, rage, queerness, decolonization, and clown.
Sean is a graduate of Concordia’s BFA acting program, an Artistic Associate with Teesri Duniya Theatre, and a former administrator at Centaur Theatre. They have led multiple acting workshops at institutions such as Concordia University and Centre Greene community centre.
Recent acing credits include: Beauté in Infinithéâtre’s Extra/Beautiful/U and the Queen of Hearts in Dense and Stage’s production of Alice In Wonderland. Sean also Assistant Directed alongside Liz Valdez, helping to bring to life the wildly relevant and totally human story that is Anna Burkholder’s, Caravan.
